We're Rajah and Shannon Jackson and we live outside of Baltimore, Maryland with our baby girl Skye and fur child (some refer to him as a Rottweiler) Onyx.
We moved into our home 2 weeks after getting married in July 2015 with blessings from our village (thanks yall!) consisting of the best wedding gifts and donated furnishings.
Whenever we decided we needed another furnishing Rajah set out to build it. Since living in our home he has become quite the handy man and we've collected many new tools and skillsets along the way.
We also began to experiment more with cooking and we cranked up a passion we had in college, traveling.
While setting out on these ventures, our village would ask questions about how we were accomplishing various aspects. Thus we kicked off Jacks Making it Home via YouTube and Instagram to share our passions for home improvement/diy projects, cooking and traveling. We hoped that sharing bits of what we were learning would help teach and inspire others and we knew it would be a way for us to learn more too.
A few years since we launched, we now have a broader digital presence and cover a wider array of topics such as the inclusion of parenting and relationship content.
